Meet Cyrena Monique

DJ. Beauty creative. Mindset curator.
Black woman, edges laid, glowing skin

I’m Cyrena — and for as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to self-expression through sound, style, and soft power.

From designing dresses in my teens to mixing beats that move bodies, my path hasn’t been linear — but it’s been intentional. Every pivot, every passion, every project I’ve touched has been rooted in helping women feel powerful, present, and unapologetically themselves.

Rituals

I’ve always loved lip products. My beauty line is a tribute to textures and shades that feel luxurious — because you should too.

Mindset

From mindset shifts to affirmations, I help women create lives that feel aligned. If I’ve learned it, I’ll teach it.

More of the Journey (If You’re Nosy Like Me...)

👗 Fashion First

I’ve known I wanted to build a lifestyle brand since I was 15. Back then, I had no clue how — I just knew I wanted to study cosmetology, fashion, and accessory design. I had to choose one, so I picked fashion.

In the mid-00s, I launched my first line: handmade corset dresses with hoods and pockets — signature pieces that turned heads. I pressed pause after someone bought one of my designs and passed it off as their own. But the passion never left. One day, the collection will return — in true Cyrena Monique form.

I’ve dabbled in makeup before, but it never truly lit me up.
Lip products, though? That’s a different story.

Balms, glosses, pigment-rich lipsticks — I’ve been obsessed for years. Creating my own line felt like the natural next step. It’s about beauty as a ritual, not a routine. A power swipe, a mood shift, a vibe reset. That’s what my lip line is rooted in.

Music has been part of my story since childhood.
At six, I was recording radio shows onto cassette tapes. By 18, I’d convinced my neighbour to teach me how to DJ.

After a few mixtapes, I stepped away — no real end goal, just a deep love for the craft. Years later, I returned, this time as a woman who knew her sound and her purpose. Now I DJ sets that feel like sound baths for the soul — from dancehall and R&B to Afro beats and Amapiano.

Freelancing since 2010, I’ve picked up skills I now use and teach — building websites, creating systems, designing content. One of my next offerings is a course on how to build your own website from scratch — with style and soul.

I’ve also had a full mindset transformation. I used to be reactive, quick to cut people off, quick to burn bridges. Now? I protect my peace. I pause. I process. And I teach women how to elevate their energy through affirmations, journaling, and self-leadership.

That’s why I created “I Know That’s Right” — a space (and soon, an e-book) for daily quotes, reminders, and soft power activations.

Working out used to feel like punishment. Now it feels like power.
I went from avoiding exercise to working out 3–5 times a week. The change was physical, mental, spiritual. And now I’m writing about it — sharing how I shifted into movement I enjoy, and how others can do the same.

This journey has never been about perfection — it’s always been about becoming.
And everything I create, from music to mindset tools, is here to help you do the same.
